Bodies
Anyone who's seen a visual of fractals has seen patterns of ever changing nature repeated again and again at different scale and arrangement. Individual elements coming together to create a vast body that contains all the original elements while achieving a wholeness in unison. This is quite a concept, but this appears to be what is going on with Danny's work. Separate strokes form bodies, each like a separate work, each related to other works. These bodies might even resemble fractal images themselves, as they are composed of smaller units that seem to reappear without ever duplicating each other. The bodies interact with other bodies to make up whole regions of a piece, or sometimes across pieces. These bodies might relate to other bodies, while at other times entirely new forms emerge. And all the while you sense that you are within a domain that is in harmony with itself – with all other incarnations of itself and the world as a whole.
